Whether you’re meeting with us often in the early stages of your financial plan or stopping in for a quarterly review of your progress down the line, we’ve designed our office with your needs in mind.
For the last few decades our team has been proud to call the Stevensville office our home base, nestled in the community where we live, work, and raise our families.

Luke understands that a lot of people have fears and concerns about their financial situations. When he founded True Blue Financial in 2008, it was to help people better understand their goals and bring clarity to how best to work toward achieving them.
Luke has worked in financial services for almost 25 years. In order to serve his clients to the fullest, Luke has received several designations, including his MS from the College for Financial Planning and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation. He is also a Chartered Retirement Plan Counselor* (CRPC), a Certified Kingdom Advisor, and an Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA).
When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife Shannon and their son and daughter. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and maintaining the family’s small hobby farm. Playing a role in helping others work toward achieving their financial goals is fulfilling to Vicki. She was the first employee at True Blue when it started almost 20 years ago, and she is blessed to have watched the company grow into a tight-knit group of people as passionate about solving financial problems as she is.
Over the years, she has formed valuable relationships with her clients helping to free them up to pursue and enjoy what is most important to them. She considers it a shared success when she can help serve their best interest and provide exceptional service—it makes all of Southwest Michigan a better place!
Vicki received her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation in 2019. In her role, she helps her clients see the long-term, and draws from her own life experiences to help them see beyond what’s right in front of them and instead see what’s possible in their financial future.
Like most Midwesterners, Vicki likes to travel to warm places whenever possible, especially to see friends and family. For the past several seasons, she has helped coach volleyball at Lakeshore High School—volleyball is a lifelong passion for her dating back to her years playing collegiate volleyball at Florida State! Her other hobbies include tennis, pickleball, and walking daily.

Everyone who walks into her office has different goals and objectives, and she uses her experience to take a personalized approach to help each of them. In her role, she educates clients, builds strong connections, and manages investments with expertise while seeking to optimize growth and minimize risk.
Nicole and her husband enjoy staying active with their two adult sons, whether that be skiing, hiking, traveling, kayaking, paddleboarding, or spending time at the beach. She also loves to cook, watch football, listen to podcasts, and play games.
As an operations manager and CPA on our team, Rick believes that his expertise in tax preparation can provide the greatest good at True Blue—by helping his friends and neighbors have deeper clarity regarding their tax future. His role includes more than simply preparing annual returns, but educating our clients so they can make informed decisions about their taxes and beyond.
Rick served eight years of active duty with the United States Army. After that, he spent two years as a public auditor specializing in financial institutions while obtaining his CPA license. He is a member of the Michigan Association of CPAs and National Association of Tax Professionals. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), he understands the importance of planning, organization, and accuracy.
When not at work, Rick enjoys spending time with his wife Rebekah and their sons Lucas and Liam. Together they enjoy golfing, fishing, roughhousing, sharing memories of their late daughter Eva, and cruising in their classic ’66 Mustang.
In everything she does, Trish is driven to make a difference in our clients’ lives. Her specialty is helping improve efficiency by paying attention to important details and never hesitating to step in to shoulder a need. She joined our team at True Blue because she enjoys direct connections with clients—something she missed in her previous life in corporate finance.
On a typical day, Trish serves as a bookkeeper, accountant, budgeter, forecaster, and process improver—there’s really nothing she can’t do. As a CPA, she is also a key member of our tax team where she enjoys helping our clients with big picture financial analysis and problem solving.
Trish worked for 35 years at Whirlpool Corporation, where she spent time primarily in finance and supply chain roles. She also has an MBA and is a Certified Public Accountant.
When she’s not working, Trish enjoys spending time with family, especially on family vacations! She also enjoys flower gardening, photography, Notre Dame sports, and volunteering at her church and the Berrien County Youth Fair.
Every day, Kate loves using her financial skills at True Blue to help clients meet their financial goals and objectives. She believes that when clients are able to delegate their investing and finance needs to True Blue, they can focus on the other life gifts they have been given.
Kate is a CPA and started her career in public accounting, working primarily as an auditor for government and non-profit entities. At True Blue, she works with the tax team, supporting preparation and review of tax returns. She loves that her work includes supporting the financial goals and needs of neighbors, friends, and community members—all while working with a great team of people.
Outside of the office, Kate loves spending time with her husband and three boys camping, spending time on Lake Michigan, skiing, hiking, and being outdoors. She keeps busy volunteering at church and her kids’ school.
Christy Veenstra brings over 15 years of tax preparation experience, and a passion for helping others, to her role at True Blue Financial. A CPA for more than a decade, Christy specializes in individual and business tax returns, with a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of ever-changing tax laws.
Driven by a simple “why”—to help people make the most of the money they work so hard for—Christy is committed to supporting clients every tax season and beyond. Whether she’s preparing returns or researching the latest updates in tax legislation, her goal is always the same: deliver clarity and confidence.
Christy was drawn to True Blue Financial because of its genuine care for their clients and community. She thrives in an environment where relationships matter and service goes beyond the numbers, aligning perfectly with True Blue’s mission to make the complex simple.
Outside of work, Christy is happiest outdoors: camping, mountain biking, skiing, or exploring the dunes with her family. She’s also recently taken up gardening, bringing that same love of learning and growth into her personal life.
Nancy has worked for decades in customer service, answering phones at various call centers or welcoming clients while sitting at the front desks, making sure everyone is listened to and personally cared for. Her attitude is no different here at True Blue—where every client loves their interactions with Nancy. She makes them feel right at home in our office, and we couldn’t be more grateful!
In her day-to-day role, Nancy is often the first person clients interact with and her warm and confident first impression will immediately put you at ease. She keeps client information organized, has a keen attention to detail, and will faithfully follow up with all requests and needs.
Nancy is the coffee connoisseur around our office, and you’ll often find her with a fun coffee mug that matches her mood (which is always a happy one!)

As our operations specialist, Marissa makes sure that every client’s experience is seamless from start to finish—whether they are working with our financial team or our tax team. She’s worked for over 18 years in the banking industry, including in residential mortgage lending, so she understands how important a solid financial framework is for clients, and how a fresh perspective can give them more clarity for the future.
Marissa and her husband Tony are new to the Southwest Michigan area. When she’s not at True Blue, Marissa enjoys reading, shopping, traveling, and spending relaxing days at the beach.
